chilly cat’s paw sweeping

dry clattering leaves along

the dusty winding path

black cat arches

lantern eyes glaring!

sticky cobwebs fluttering

at the passing of

howling werewolves

cackling witches

moaning ghosties

shuffling zombies

Beware as they

loudly cadge treats

or portend tricks

while collywobbles threaten

the gluttonous

as the witching hour

draws ever nearer
